Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe (built-in Baronial 26, 2002), known professionally as Lil Tecca, is an American rapper and vocaliser.[1] He rose to mainstream fame with the release of his 2022 single "Ransom", which peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100.[2] [3] The unmarried was included on his debut mixtape We Love You Tecca (2019) which peaked at number iv on the US Billboard 200.[4] The mixtape as well included the singles "Dear Me" and "Did It Once again".[5] His debut studio anthology, Virgo World (2020), debuted at number x on the Billboard 200 and included the Billboard Hot 100-charting songs "Dolly" and "When You Down". His second mixtape, We Honey Y'all Tecca 2, was released in August 2022 which included "Repeat It" and "Lot of Me".
Early life [edit]
Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born on August 26, 2002, in the Queens area of New York Urban center to Jamaican immigrants. He was raised in the Springfield Gardens neighborhood of Queens,[6] simply subsequently relocated to Cedarhurst in Long Island.[vii] From a young age, Sharpe had aspirations of being in the NBA, but effectually the historic period of 12, he turned his attention towards pursuing a career in music.[8] He attended Lawrence High School.[seven]
Career [edit]
When Tecca was ix years old, he catered to his interest in music by rapping with his friends over his mic on his Xbox. They would make diss tracks directed towards each other, i of which was uploaded to SoundCloud years ago, just has since been taken downward.[ix] At first, he did non have intentions to start a musical career and instead had dreams of being an NBA star. Notwithstanding, in his heart school years, he lost interest in basketball and considered taking music more seriously.[10] His beginning track to gain some popularity, "Tectri", was made in collaboration with his friend, Lil Gummybear, and was released in early 2017. Other preliminary tracks of his include "Callin".[11] Just a year afterwards, Tecca's career began to take off with his hit unmarried, "Ransom", which was originally uploaded on Cole Bennett's Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel on May 22, 2019. The song peaked at number iv on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has received over 900 1000000[12] plays on Spotify and over 300 1000000 views on YouTube.[13] [14]
On August 30, 2019, Tecca released his debut mixtape, titled Nosotros Love You Tecca.[15] The mixtape peaked at number 4 on the US Billboard 200.[4]
Later the release of multiple singles in 2020, Tecca released his debut album, Virgo World, on September 18, 2020.[16]
On April vi, 2021, Tecca released the single "Prove Me Upwards". On May 6, 2021, he released the single "Never Left", which peaked at number 54 on the The states Billboard Hot 100.[17]
On August 6, 2021, Tecca released the single "Repeat Information technology" with American rapper Gunna. On August 27, 2021, Tecca released his 2nd studio album, Nosotros Love Y'all Tecca ii, the sequel to his debut mixtape, Nosotros Honey You Tecca. Lil Tecca signed an upcoming artiste named BabySantana who dropped an underground classic named "hating" featuring slump6s
